El Carnicero presents Olde Wrestling’s Speakeasy Spectacular

Huzzah!!! Olde Wrestling is making its debut in the grand city of Lakewood for a night of rough n’ tumble, eye gougin, bodyslammin, rip roarin, old fashioned wrestling!

The Speakeasy Spectacular is a one-night event (Friday, August 1st) celebrating the secret saloons that became widely popular during the Prohibition era. The Spectacular will feature professional wrestling contests from characters that reflect those rambunctious roarin’ 20s: Bootleggers, Prohibition Agents, Skilled Grapplers, Fierce Lady Wrestlers, Speakeasy Strongmen, and Bare Knuckle Pugilists will all be fighting inside the infamous squared circle.

We’ve partnered with Eric Williams (Momocho & Happy Dog chef/owner) Lakewood Lucha Libre themed restaurant El Carnicero to expand our audience throughout the Cleveland metro area.

Although wrestling will be the feature attraction, we are concentrating on creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere that will take the audience back to the age of the Charleston and President Hoover. In addition to our vintage grappling contests, the Spectacular will showcase Cleveland vaudeville duo, Pinch & Squeal, performing between matches. Yelp Cleveland and additional vintage reenactors will be interacting with the crowd as well.

We hope you’re able to swing on by come August 1st, but we most advise you…be discreet, and for the love of Pete….DON’T TELL THE FEDS! (The password is PALOOKA)
